I am here to help!

Hi, I’m Laura…

An OCN certified Infant Sleep Consultant based in South Wales. I am an experienced Nursery Nurse of 16 years, gentle parenting advocate and a mum of two wonderfully energetic boys (ages 8 & 5), and I have been exactly where you are: exhausted, overwhelmed and wondering what’s ‘normal’.

For over 16 years, I’ve supported babies, toddlers and families through every stage of early childhood - from first cries to first steps. As a Nursery Nurse, I have seen first hand that every child is unique and that there is no one-size-fits-all answer when it comes to sleep.

I started this journey not just as a professional, but as a parent. I remember the long nights, the endless rocking and the feeling of “why isn’t this working?” I tried everything that I was taught through child development, I tried listening to grandparents advice but nothing went to plan. I had people telling me, “You’re a professional, you do this on a daily basis! You should have no problem!”

But the truth is… Yes, I know everything about all the milestones that children go through BUT I was never taught ‘How to be a parent!’ All parent’s are handed this tiny, beautiful human and is expected to just know what needs to be done! Know how to soothe them, know what every cry means. Know how to function on two hours of broken sleep. But parenting isn’t just about instinct. It’s overwhelming, emotional and full of moments that make you question EVERYTHING, especially when it comes to sleep.

That’s why I created Hush and Hugs sleep consultancy to offer the kind of gentle, reassuring support I wish I’d had. I use a wide range of sleep approaches that are rooted in connection, not control. There’s no one-size-fits-all - just real guidance, real reassurance, and real results.

The gentle approaches are flexible and tailored to your child’s needs, and your parenting style and goals. I believe in tuning into your child’s cues, responding with love and building habits that helps your little one feel safe and supported.

I’m here to help you and your little one find your rhythm, rest more easily and reconnect with joy. I will be here to walk alongside you, with empathy, encouragement and a plan that fits your family. Together we’ll create a peaceful routine so your little one sleeps better and you finally can too.

I am here to help you feel less alone in the uncertainty. To offer not just strategies - but understanding. To gently guide you and your little one towards better sleep without guilt, pressure or tears. Because you don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need someone in your corner who gets it!

My Mission, My Ethos, My Style…

At Hush and Hugs, my mission is to protect and strengthen the irreplaceable bond between parent and child while guiding families toward calmer, more restorative sleep. Every recommendation I share honours attachment first - prioritising responsiveness, emotional security and gentle connection so your little one feels safe, parents feel confident and restful nights grow naturally out of a foundation of love and trust.

My ethos is simple, to honour the unique rhythm of each child and empowering families with reassurance rather than rigid routines. I work from a place of deep empathy and attunement, gently guiding families through sleep challenges.

My style is gentle and responsive, no ignoring distress, just respectful, present care. I want to be collaborative and reassuring to my families. I want to focus on small, manageable changes that lead to sustainable sleep improvements. I want my families to know that Hush and Hugs is about leading with love, because they need to understand that peaceful sleep begins with feeling safe, seen and supported.

I believe in sleep solutions that feel right in your heart - not ones that push you or your little one too far, too fast. My methods focus on connection, reassurance and responsive changes that actually work - and last!

My methods are nurturing, slow paced and rooted in emotional attunement. My work supports parents who value secure attachment and respectful caregiving, my guided sleep improvements while protecting the parent-child bond. I want my families to know that I don’t just ‘fix sleep’ – but I hold space for parental emotions, anxieties and fears.

At Hush and Hugs, I help connection focused parents gently improve their little ones sleep with responsive, no cry-it-out methods that nurture attachment and emotional well-being. I want to be the reminder that parents don’t have to choose between sleep and connection.

I offer progress not perfection.

Peaceful sleep is a journey that we’ll take together.
